Ztype (zty.pe) - an alternative for Twiddler typing

I have been using Ztype ( http://zty.pe ) for practicing my Twiddler typing lately.

The great thing about it is it's forcing me to move on with typing without thinking about it.
Make sure to try using sound as it helps with typing in a way for which I don't have an explanation.

Thanks for the link. I've started using it since I had trouble with the tutor, and it is very helpful, I think. I invented my own layout, and as a complete beginner I'm getting scores around 100, but improving rapidly.

I just now tried zty.pe using my regular keyboard for the first time, and I must say that for you to get 779 on the twiddler is pretty impressive.

Maybe my speed can be explained by the fact that I use Twiddler(s) all day, every day.

This is a lot of fun. But I'm surprised to see such a regular speed increase in your scores. Over 30 games I don't think I can see any trend in my stats. Do you feel like your typing outside the game is getting faster, or is it more a matter of getting better at the game?

@paul I think this is because I discovered shields and also pay more attention to accuracy.

Ha, the shields (bombs?) do make a difference.

This was highly addictive and stressful. I haven't gotten to figuring out shields yet though.

You sure did.
Did you actually play 1279 games?
Also how did you double your score in the last 3 games?

Yes it's data tracking has stopped working. Not sure if the game count is accurate. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it's accurate. I have about 10000 sessions in tutor. Only the last few game's scores are from that session yesterday. After I closed that window I lost those scores.

Also not sure how it is for you but my scores vary widely depending on if I make a mistake early that kills me.
