My first instinct was turning off with the switch every time I stopped using it, i.e. a few times per day, but now I'm concerned with its wear.
Do you have a rating or an estimation of the mean lifetime of the switch, in number of clicks? Compared to the same number for the key switches?
I turn it off because I expected some kind of electronic wear from being powered 24/7 through USB, but now that I think about it, it feels a bit stupid. Still, do you have any data on the wear of the components, in time left powered on and/or in number of power-ups? (I think I read somewhere that electronics suffers a lot more in transitions than when staying in a stable state) Or is it vastly negligible compared to mechanical wear?
While on this (off-)topic, can I expect the same wear/aging of the battery as any other lithium battery in nowadays consumer electronics? Is it user replaceable?
