TLDR: I'm only getting 3-5 hours of battery (bought brand new on Amazon ten days ago). Should I return to Amazon?
I bought my first Twiddler3 ten days ago and have been loving it! The only bummer is that on the 3rd day it runs out of juice (today is the third such event so I'm seeing a pattern). I typically only use it for around an hour a day. I would assume it should get more than 3-5 hours of use, right? I couldn't find anywhere that talked about battery life so I thought I'd ask here - the only thing I saw was that battery life is months (but it mentions standby). How long can you be actively using it? Getting only 3-5 hours means something is amiss with the battery, right?
In case it helps, I have the timeout at 60 minutes. I also did a battery check each day and it prints out vcc=96. This morning it said vcc=95 and just now it ran out of juice. Seems to me like the battery might be faulty? If I turn the Twiddler off and wait a while, I can then turn it back on but the light does a super quick flash (which I think I means low battery) and then goes into pairing mode. After about 2-7 pairing mode flashes it just turns off and nothing works. I've tried unpairing/repairing and using different devices. I was hoping to get it to run long enough so I could get a battery read, but it only connected and printed once and it said vcc=113. If it helps, version is 0.17b.
I haven't tested with turning the switch off after each daily session. It's possible maybe it's not going into standby? But, when I come back to it I do have to wake it - so I'm pretty confident it is indeed going into standby. Also, since it has shown vcc=96 over the last three days, it makes me think it's not slowly draining. Seems to go from full to dead in a manner of minutes - and always after roughly 3-5 hours of use (over a period of 3 days).
I bought it on Amazon. Should I return it there or is there a better way to deal with this?
I do have another Twiddler on order but I bought it with the haptic motor and it says it's on backorder. In other words, I haven't been able to test battery life on a second device yet.
Thanks for any advice!
