Is it technically possible to add support for a chord that sets the next chord (only) to be affected by a modifier? I'm primarily considering the modifier to be Shift here.
In the Tuner, I'm thinking it could be defined something like
<Next_Shifted>. The idea would be that this would work like a one-time-use Shift press - whatever chord is coming after this chord will act as if the Shift key is pressed, after which the Shift will be turned off again automatically.
The main use of this would be to combine it with the period, for auto-capitalizing the beginning of the next sentence. I'm finding that moving the thumb to press Shift is disruptive enough during normal text input that it's faster to activate Capslock, pressing the character, then Capslock again. It's such a predictable pattern (after a period) that it should work well if it could be a part of the chord itself.
Would such a thing be technically possible, maybe within a firmware update?
