I reference the LEDs to determine the state of the Twiddler.
When I haven't typed anything in a while in Bluetooth mode, the flashing LED tells me that the Twiddler hasn't gone to sleep.
In headless mode, I sometimes type a character to see the LED blink in response, to confirm I'm in the right mode and recording. I wouldn't like it if these things went away with no replacement.
I would like some way to know that the Twiddler is in headless mode and is recording without having to enter otherwise meaningless characters.
It's common on bluetooth keyboards with a single LED to have a button which triggers that LED to read out the battery status. When you hit the button, the LED blinks slowly between 1-4 times, representing the battery percentage as above 25%, 50%, 75%, or at 100% respectively. Because I have to charge my Twiddler so infrequently, it's not routine. I'd like to have an easy way to check that status.
The LED is also useful to determine the plugged-in and charging states.
I'd like it if the charging state went from red-light to green-light instead of to no-light. But I can see that as being annoying for people who largely use the Twiddler plugged-in.
