I just bought a brand new Twiddler3 at the end of December. Firmware Version = 0.17b
My case is very similar to this post: https://forum.tekgear.com/t/is-my-battery-faulty-solved/581
Idle Sleep Time now is set to 5 minutes (it was 25 minutes from the box), but the battery still lasts for 2-3 days. I don't know, maybe it's normal for Bluetooth device?
When my Twiddler is fully charged it shows vcc from 94 to 97. Here is test mode result:
1 vcc=96
2 vcc=96
3 vcc=95
4 vcc=96
5 vcc=96
6 vcc=95
7 vcc=96
8 vcc=95
9 vcc=96
10 vcc=96
11 vcc=94
12 vcc=95
13 vcc=96
14 vcc=96
15 vcc=96
The charging process looks normal. The full charging time takes about 50 minutes.
After the previous full charging, I used Twiddler for about 3 days. I didn't count the time but I think it was not bigger than 4 hours per day. When LED started flashing (1 short blink every 4 seconds) I checked vcc, it was vcc=102. After that, I checked vcc very frequently and saw a lot of stages: 103,104,106, .. 112, 113, 114. It took about 10 minutes (!) to get from vcc = 102 to vcc = 114 and turning off.
So I want to ask some questions:
I understand that the Twiddler will last for months in the stand by mode (it's written in the documentation). But what about woken up mode + Bluetooth paired + battery mode? What should be the period of continuous work? I mean how many hours/days/weeks the Twiddler should work non-stop (in continuous typing mode) being paired with a Bluetooth Host?
How often do you need to charge your Twiddler if you use it fully instead of your keyboard during your normal job process? Can anyone provide your statistics?
What type of battery used in Twiddler3? Do I need to make the correct charging/discharging cycle?
Also while my Twiddler is operating in Bluetooth mode I can here quite noise (high-frequency sound) when I bring Twiddler close to my ear (where the joystick is located). Does anybody hear the same noise?
